It was supposed to be a day like any other. Enjoying our days together like they would never end. We were certain they would never end. We were going to watch the stars up close. We were going to live in this world nobody could imagine when we were born.
But it could never be. I was sure that time had passed him over. Just like me. So we could grow old together. If old age could ever manage to find us at least. It was great. He was great.
Strong, smart, and gentle. All wrapped into a pretty superhuman package. Until this morning was convinced that he was ageless, the same as me. Until just then, I... thought we were forever. His powers...
Behold the bastion of mad science where electricity crackles and liquids bubble. In this dark dank room where water drips from the ceiling a single figure works in the shadows on things better left alone. The figure carefully sorts out the patient's innards carefully laying them out on the table before him. Where he can he cuts them loose from the main body to replace damaged parts or maybe just to make room for something better.
Soon all that still needs doing before the reanimation can start is closing up the patient again. He goes about this task with an eery grin, taking great care that nothing sticks out. Now he can attach the electrode
She came walking in summer snow
Beauty I thought I'd never know
A sight of wonder yet so serene
In which a mortal can't intervene
Yet in her passing me close by
What she wanted I couldn't deny
Such sweet a lifedraining kiss
Leaving a man naught but bliss

I am Renatel, rookie writer that didn't really write for a few years. I decided to pick up writing again and post my stuff here. It's probably bad but you learn by doing.
